The Ultimate Road Trip - Nashville to Buenos Aires
We want to do something amazing in our lives. Something that few people have done!
We want to drive from the U.S. to the southern tip of South America!. This epic journey would start in the summer of 2010 and we don't know when it would end.
What's the biggest cost....a car, but we've got that covered. My Grandmother has a 1989 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale that only she has ever driven. That means that even though it's really old it only has 29,000 miles on it, so its perfect for the ultimate road trip. Inspired by our own travels, reading books like Vagabonding, Motorcycle Diaries and movies like 180 degrees South!
We also have been talking a lot about traveling with a purpose, so we plan to stop at charities all along the way and volunteer. It may be for a few days or maybe months it will just depend on what we feel called to do. We have contacts in Nicaragua, Peru, Chile, and Argentina all ready and are open to meeting many more people.
In addition to helping others we plan to knock out some of the coolest things the world has to offer. The beaches in Mexico, the jungles of Costa Rica, the panama canal, the rain forest of Columbia, trekking in the Amazon, the salt flats of Bolivia, Machu Pichu in Peru, the mountains of Chile, and end with one of the wildest places left on this earth...Patagonia!
With all those aspirations we still need your help. We are using the "Chip In" account below to accept donations for our trip. Mainly to cover gas!. We don't expect much and we don't need much, but if you wish you could go with us and want to show your support donate a couple of bucks.
