a touristy place, but filled with great food and delicious margaritas. They are expensive, but it is a really fun environment and a great place to stop in for a meal or drink.

It is a famous restaurant by day and a famous bar by night. When the sun goes down there will be about 1,500 students packed into the bar. Be sure to grab a t-shirt to prove that you’ve partied at one of the most famous spots in the world.

it seems like you are at home at your college partying except that it is bigger and better. They have all your typical bar food dishes and the waitresses will help you get the party started. Feel free to get up and dance on a table at anytime during your time here.

Up & Down

Not in the middle of the main club area of Cancun, Up & Down makes its name for its crazy foam parties. The foam is ridiculous and can make it up to chest level which makes for a guaranteed wild night.

Bulldog Café

Their motto is "Rock is not a music style, it's a way of life” and the live music acts on each of the three levels backs that statement up. You can choose to by drink by drink or spend up front for an all you can drink option. Bulldog Café is huge with room for about 2,000 people. They even have a VIP Jacuzzi room if that is your style.

The City

This is a tri-level club is huge and only opened a few years ago. It is located right on the beach and is a perfect place for a party. It hosted rapper artist 50 cent for MTV Spring Break 2004, and many other shows for MTV Spring Break 2005 (including Fat Joe, Destiny's Child, and others).

Dady’O

Where the DJ’s and light shows keep the crowd entertained all night long. The club is designed to look like cavern in the Caribbean and the party runs throughout.

CoCo Bongo

It was once called the “ultimate night club” by CNN. It is called a show and dance club because it features Vegas like entertainment all night. The club is huge and can hold about 1,800 people. They know they are famous and use that to justify the expensive cover charges.

La boom

This is one of the best known clubs in all of Cancun. It is always hopping during spring break. It has two main areas with one being a video bar and the other being a 2-story disco where the dancing never stops. They are well known for their wild parties and crazy events like bikini contest.

Two Areas of Town with Hundreds of Resorts

There are two main areas of Cancun: Isla Cancun and Cancun City. Isla Cancun is home to most of the resorts in the area along its 16 miles of gorgeous beaches. This area also has a lagoon that is home to boating and waterskiing. Across the main Playa Linda Bridge is Cancún City. It is home to tons of buildings and some lower budget hotels. No matter where you are staying makes sure to find out whether or not they are spring breaker friendly before booking.

There are some (relatively) small Mayan vestiges of the pre-Columbian Maya civilization in Cancún. Ruinas El Rey are located in the Hotel Zone. El Meco, a more substantial site, is found on the mainland just outside the city limits on the road to Punta Sam.

Very close, at the Mayan Riviera and the Grand Costa Maya, there are impressive sites such as Cobá and Muyil (Riviera) the small Polé (now Xcaret), and Kohunlich, Kinichná, Dzibanché, Oxtankah, Tulum, and Chacchoben, in the south of the state.

    There are about 150 hotels in Cancún with more than 24,000 rooms and 380 restaurants. FoCancun Beachur million visitors arrive each year in an average of 190 flights daily. The Hotel Zone of Cancun is shaped like a 7 with bridges on each end connecting to the mainland. Resorts on the horizontal or short end of the seven tend to have more gentle surf because the waves here are blocked by the island of Isla Mujeres which lies just off shore. The Hotel Zone offers a broad range of accommodations, ranging from relatively inexpensive motel-style facilities in the older section closest to the mainland, to high-priced luxury hotels in the later sections.

Tips and taxes are included in the price of the hotel rooms. There are also upscale private residences and lavish condominiums for rent that cater to the rich. Restaurants, bars and shops in the hotel zone tend to be rather expensive compared with the downtown area and other Cancun Scuba DivingMexican resorts. Travelers will find many well-known theme restaurants and clubs here. Although the Hotel Zone is frequently described as "posh" or "exclusive" the main Cancún tourism market is middle- and upper-middle-class, according to government statistics, which also report that more than 37% of Cancún visitors are Mexican.

    On the opposite side of the island from the Caribbean Sea is the Nichupté Lagoon, which is used for boating excursions and jet-ski jungle tours.

    Downtown is home to less expensive places to shop, including many supermarkets such as three Wal-Marts, two Comercial Mexicanas, at least seven large Chedraui's and three Sorianas, not to mention several flea markets like The Zocalo in the heart of the Hotel Zone. Market 28, Downtown, is a well-known shopping place both for locals and visitors. Downtown also hosts a number of American franchises such as Office Depot, Office Max, the aforementioned Wal-Marts, Sears, Sam's Club, Costco, Blockbuster, and a number of Starbucks (also located at the Hotel Zone) just to name a few. It also contains countless smaller hotels that can be had at a fraction of the price for similar accommodations in the Hotel Zone. International brands in Downtown area include Radisson Hacienda Cancún, Best Western Plaza Caribe, Oasis America.

    Other Locations
