SaltLick BBQ - Using open smoke pits and local salt from the area, this place is 25 minutes from downtown but is always packed with young longhorns doing the “Family style” - All you can eat platters. The BBQ here is true Texas BBQ and probably the best in the state of TX. Get your habanero sauce on the side and remember that it is a dry county, so bring your own beer in coolers or a keg if you have a large party.  On a weekend you may wait up to 30 minutes for a table even with over a 300 person capacity but it is definitely worth every second when you leave.
