Red Shed
This bar is a newcomer to the Strip scene. Known for its toughness on IDs (i.e., if you have a fake, don’t even try to get in), The Red Shed is a cool little spot that sits directly behind Eagens (and if you don’t know where Eagen’s is, it’s cool – no one else does either). If you are in the mood to kick it outside, this bar offers outside seating. But be careful – the outside seating area comes equipped with this little ring game that will have you trying to land a ring on a hook for hours (trust me, I didn’t think it was possible either until I tried it once and was hooked – no pun intended).
In addition to the convenient outside area, this bar also offers freshly-cooked burgers on occasion. I can’t really comment on the music scene at this bar, because quite honestly I have never really been all that attentive. I do remember the first time I visited The Red Shed – I was slightly intoxicated (well, maybe I had been over-served at this point) and kept requesting songs to the DJ. Yes, that’s right, a DJ. This DJ just happened to be spinning songs on his iPod that night. However, this was in the beginning, when The Red Shed was fairly new to the scene. I am certain that after two years of smooth operation, its entertainment/music budget has increased??
