Girl Talk Concerts!
If you haven’t listened to or been to a Girl Talk concert yet then you have been missing out.
The Details
For those who are not familiar with the story of Girl Talk, the man behind the music is actually Gregg Gillis, who randomly enough is an engineer from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His music is actually a blend of other people’s music.
For example, the first track on his new album, "Feed the Animals," seamlessly combines Roy Orbison's "Pretty Woman," Lil Mama's "G-Slide (Tour Bus)," Temple of the Dog's "Hunger Strike," Sinead O'Connor's "Nothing Compares 2 U," Huey Lewis' "The Heart of Rock and Roll" and more than a dozen other samples which leads to his totally unique sound.
Even though it will just be him on the stage at The Lyric, it will be a very crazy atmosphere. His shows normally start with Gillis playing music while leaning over his computer screen. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, the stage will be covered with people dancing and going nuts all night.
