Great American Beer Festival in Denver, CO

Great American Beer Festival
Think three days of pure sampling more than 2,000 different American beers. The Great American Beer Festival (GABF) is held in Denver, Colorado that brings together beer lovers and enthusiast to sample and evaluate beer. The beer is then awarded with either gold, silver and bronze status in more than 83 beer-style categories. The show floor for attendees offers an opportunity to learn about the beer and have a one-ounce taste (free with admission). There are also demonstrations, seminars and other events that take place around the hall. This festival has been considered the largest ticketed beer festival in the United States. There is even a “silent disco” at the festival where you can shake your groove thing with wireless headphones and dance to the music of a live DJ. The Brewers Studio Pavilion offers attendees a chance to listen to the stories of the innovators and personalities of the brewing industry. The “You Be the Judge” pavilion lets 20 people per sessions have a chance to judge a beer alongside the GABF judges in a directed tasting. The festival isn’t just for the beer lovers and drinkers, they also show some love and support for the designated drivers! It’s true, they have a Designated Drivers Lounge where the DDs of the group can receive complimentary gifts from the festival (like massages) and an opportunity to taste craft brewed sodas and root beers.

Like every notable festival, there is definitely food. At the GABF, they have the Farm To Table Pavilion where you can taste how well craft beer pairs with food. You can even watch expert chefs and brewers team up at the Beer & Food Pavilion to witness demonstrations and samples of how to make your taste buds dance with beer and food tastings.

Support your local and national brewing companies by being around beer lovers and sampling great beer. It is an experience you’re going to want to try for yourself!
