Downtown Appetite 4 Art – Raleigh, NC
Downtown Appetite 4 Art is a relatively new event to spring up in North Carolina’s capital city. Since it’s inception in 2003, they have expanded Appetite 4 Art to comprise a silent auction, art auction, wine and food celebration focused on the development of Downtown Raleigh, its citizens, neighborhoods, businesses, the arts and the children. This fundraising event is focused on growing youth of Raleigh’s community with a focus on the arts and how it improves the lives of the children. The event takes place at the Marbles Kids Museum in Downtown Raleigh.
So what happens at the event?
Appetite 4 Art is focused on creating a fun, interactive environment for people of all ages while raising money. One of their popular events is the Art Auction, which consists of art pieces ranging from traditional paintings, sculptures, mixed media, to pottery and lighted art designs. Local artists donate pieces to the event in order to auction off.
The silent auction is just what it sounds like! Items that have been donated by local businesses and artists that range from jewelry to professional serves, are up for grabs, but only if you have the highest bid. It is a fun way to support locally, support a good cause and get something nice for yourself or a friend. Also, all purchases you make at the event are tax deductible.
Not only does this event satisfy your hunger for art, but feeds your appetite by providing wine, beer, or liquor and Raleighs’ finest dining throughout the event from local businesses.
